It seems I am one lucky S.O.B.! The Grand Palais in Paris has just opened two excellent expositions. Here you can find The Grande Monde D'Andy Warhol exposition and Le Tag Collection Exposition in the same place! As you probably figured it out the first one is about the legendary Andy Warhol while the next one is a Graffiti Gallery with canvases from 150 international artists: from the guy who started this movement "Taki 183" to the father of Graffiti "Seen" or legends like Phase 2, Cap , Doze Green, Loomit, Revolt . As a child I dreamed of seeing art by this guys while watching Stylewars. By the way the exposition was comissioned by the director of Stylewars, Henry Chalfant.
Le Grande Monde D'Andy Warhol
Brilliant collection of art by Andy Warhol collected from the entire world.
I was impressed by the Diamant Powdered Portraits of Giorgio Armani or Carolina Hererea, the Famous Screen Tests, the portret of Jesus Christ multiplied 112 times (p.1) and the canvas visible only in black light (p.2). You gotta love this guy, well... unless you have a low iq or you are Pierre Bergé :))

Virtual Guide .//
(Some of the art pices + audio guide book + video from the opening starring guests like Karl Lagerfield and many more)
Le TAG Collection
All the big names that started the graffiti movement were featured in this exposition. I spent some time with some french writers, gave an interview for a local tv station and saw a 70 year old grandma buying the exhibition catalog for 50 euros.! :/ I found very interesting the fact that you could hear the spraycans being shaken and paint being vaporised form the speakers behind the canvases making everything so real. Oh.. Also signed the blackbook from the entry (P.1) :D
